Archives of Public Health is the official journal of the Belgian Association of Public Health (BAPH). The journal welcomes methodological papers (e.g., on study design and bias), papers on health services research, health economics, community interventions, and epidemiological studies dealing with international comparisons, the determinants of inequality in health, and the environmental, behavioural, social, demographic and occupational correlates of health and diseases.
The journal is open-access and therefore levies an article-processing charge of £1890.00/$2590.00/€2190.00 for each article accepted for publication, plus VAT or local taxes where applicable (the APC is determined at the date of acceptance).
Sciensano, the Belgian research institute on Public Health, supports Archives of Public Health through a yearly grant.
The 2022 Impact Factor (IF) of the Journal equalled 3.3, an increase over previous years.

BAPH members benefits
Members of BAPH who publish in Archives of Public Health benefit from a 15% reduction in article processing charges. Upon acceptance of your paper, in the ‘Publishing and rights’ portal, indicate that you are a BAPH member in the ‘Journal Partners’ page. BAPH will then confirm your membership with the journal.
If you are a 35-year-old researcher or younger and member of the BAPH in good standing, and you have a research paper or a systematic review about a relevant public health topic accepted for publication in the journal, you can apply for a grant of 1000 € from the BAPH to reimburse a part of the article processing charges (APC).
